Why Local Matters

One Market.
Since 2010.

Franchise tinting companies operate across dozens of markets with rotating crews and call-center scheduling. We operate in one: Dallas-Fort Worth.

We know the sun angles, the window orientations, and the heat loads that come with west-facing glass in a Frisco new-build versus an older single-pane home in Lakewood. When you call us, you reach the person who does the work.

Home Window Film
for the Texas Climate

North Texas summers push home cooling systems hard. Window film is one of the most cost-effective ways to reduce that load — keeping rooms cooler, cutting energy bills, and protecting everything inside from UV damage.

972-TINTING — Free Estimate 972-TINTING972-846-8464
What Window Film Actually Does

Most people think it's cosmetic. It's functional.

Reduces Heat Gain

Window film blocks solar infrared radiation — the component of sunlight that heats up a room — before it passes through the glass. Your A/C works less. Rooms stay comfortable longer into the afternoon.

Blocks UV Without Darkening the Room

UV radiation is what fades hardwood floors, bleaches upholstery, and damages artwork over time. Our films block up to 99% of UV rays — without the room-darkening effect of heavy curtains or shutters.

Cuts Glare on Screens

If you've battled glare bouncing off a flat screen or work surface, film makes an immediate difference. We can significantly reduce glare without making your windows look dark from outside.

Adds Daytime Privacy

Certain films make it difficult to see into your home from outside during daylight hours while maintaining a clear outward view — useful for street-facing rooms, first-floor spaces, and home offices.

Film Types

Standard Film vs.
Ceramic Film

Both reduce heat and UV — the difference is in how they perform over time and under Texas sun.

Standard solar films use metallic coatings or dyes to reflect solar energy. They're effective and represent solid value for most applications. Ceramic films use nano-ceramic particles instead of metal — rejecting heat more efficiently, with no interference with cell signals, GPS, or Wi-Fi.

For homes with large south- or west-facing windows, ceramic is often the right call. We'll give you a straight answer during the estimate — not a sales pitch.

What Makes Ceramic Different

Blocks Infrared at the Source

Ceramic particles reject IR radiation without relying on metallic reflection. The room stays cooler without the mirror effect on windows.

No Signal Interference

No metal layers means no interference with cell service, GPS, garage openers, or Wi-Fi.

Long-Term Color Stability

Ceramic films resist fading, bubbling, and color shift far better than dye-based films — especially under consistent Texas sun exposure.

Premium, Not Required

Ceramic costs more upfront. For some windows and orientations, standard film is the smarter spend. We'll tell you which is which — honestly.

Added Benefits

Energy Savings & UV Health Protection

Energy Savings

Window film is recognized by the U.S. Government as an Energy Star-certified product. In a North Texas climate — where cooling costs dominate most of the year — blocking heat at the glass before it loads your HVAC translates directly into lower utility bills.

For most homes, the return on investment comes within two to four years. After that, the savings continue for the life of the film — typically 15–20 years with proper care.

Unlike blinds and curtains, which block heat by blocking light, window film lets you keep natural daylight while eliminating the thermal load.

UV Protection for Your Family

Window film blocks up to 99% of UV radiation — the primary driver of skin aging and a contributing factor in skin cancer. Most people don't think about UV exposure happening indoors, but it does — especially near south- and west-facing windows.

The Process

What to Expect on Installation Day

No prep required on your end. We handle everything.

Residential Warranty

Non-transferable manufacturer's lifetime warranty covering both the film and the installation. In 15+ years, we've had two seal-failure claims — total.

1

We Arrive Pre-Cut

Film arrives cut for every window in your project — no on-site measuring delays.

2

Glass Prep

Each window is cleaned with a chemical- and odor-free mounting solution. Stainless steel blades only — no risk of scratching the glass. We remove window treatments if needed and replace them when we're done.

3

Film Application & Trim

Film is positioned, trimmed precisely to the glass edge, and squeegeed to bond it cleanly to the surface.

4

Curing Period

Larger windows may show slight haziness or small bubbles for 1–2 weeks as the bonding compound evaporates. This is normal and resolves on its own. Wait one month before cleaning windows — then use a non-ammonia cleaner and soft cloth.

The Business Case

One Upgrade. Four Real Benefits.

Lower Energy Costs

Applying film to exposed windows and doors reduces a commercial building's cooling load — directly and measurably. The payback period for most properties runs two to four years. The savings continue for the life of the film.

Better Working Environment

Glare on computer screens cuts productivity. Uneven temperatures near window walls create discomfort. Window film addresses both — and the difference employees notice on day one is real.

Protect What's on Display

For retail storefronts, UV and infrared exposure causes merchandise, apparel, and displays to fade. Window film blocks the wavelengths responsible without changing how your storefront looks from the street.

Curb Appeal & Appearance

Film gives older commercial buildings a cleaner, more uniform look from outside. We carry reflectivity levels and tones suited to office buildings, storefronts, and strip-mall configurations across DFW.

Film Options

The Right Film for Your Property

We carry a full range of commercial window films. We'll help you identify the right category during the estimate — not push you toward the highest-margin product.

Most Popular

Solar / Heat Rejection Films

Clear, charcoal, warm neutral, bronze, and silver reflective options. The right choice for most commercial applications — balancing heat rejection, visibility, and cost.

Ceramic Films

Superior infrared rejection for large glass facades and heavy south- or west-facing sun exposure. No metallic layers means no signal interference.

Decorative Films

Frosted, textured, gradient, patterned, colored, and custom-printed options. Conference rooms, partitions, lobbies, and storefronts — privacy and branding without construction.

Blackout & Whiteout Film

Conceals mechanical systems and conduits visible through glass from outside. Also used for complete privacy in server rooms and sensitive areas.

One-Way Mirror Film

Daytime privacy with full outward visibility. Popular for ground-floor offices, conference rooms facing public areas, and retail back offices.

Low-Reflectance Film

Reduces solar heat and glare while keeping exterior appearance nearly identical to untreated glass. The right choice when visual consistency with surrounding glass is a priority, or when building codes and deed restrictions limit visible window treatments.

Installation

We Work Around Your Business

No shutdowns. No mess. No disruption to customers or employees. For larger properties, we coordinate phased installations that keep any one section of the building fully operational throughout the project. DFW's commercial window film market is one of the most active in the country — from Uptown Dallas high-rises to Frisco corporate campuses, efficient scheduling and zero downtime are table stakes for any credible commercial contractor in this market.

We remove and replace window treatments, relocate furniture as needed, and leave the space cleaner than we found it.

Commercial Warranty

Up to 15 yrs

Manufacturer's warranty covering both the film and the installation. In 15+ years of business, we've had two seal-failure claims — total — across every project we've completed.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Straightforward answers about window film — how it works, what to expect, and what makes us different.

Film Types

Standard architectural films use metallic coatings or dyes to reflect or absorb solar energy. They're effective and represent solid value for most residential and commercial applications.

Ceramic films use nano-ceramic particles instead of metal layers. They reject heat more efficiently, produce no signal interference with cell phones, GPS, or Wi-Fi, and hold their clarity and color longer under heavy sun exposure. They cost more upfront. For homes or offices with significant south- or west-facing window exposure in a Texas climate, they're frequently worth it. We'll give you an honest read during the estimate.

We carry a full range through LLumar, SunTek, and Solyx — all premium, U.S.-manufactured brands. Options include solar films in clear, charcoal, warm neutral, bronze, and silver reflective; ceramic films; decorative films (frosted, textured, gradient, patterned, colored); and specialty films including blackout, whiteout, and one-way mirror.

Both are manufactured by Eastman Chemical Company and represent the same tier of quality and warranty coverage. LLumar has been in the market longer and has broader name recognition; SunTek offers excellent ceramic products that compete well on performance per dollar. In practice, we'll recommend the specific film that fits your windows and goals — both brands produce films we're confident standing behind.

Yes. We carry frosted, etched-glass look, textured, gradient, patterned, and colored options. Popular for conference room glass, office partitions, storefront windows, shower enclosures, bathroom windows, and sidelights. Custom-printed films — logos, graphics, patterns to spec — are available for commercial applications.

Performance & Benefits

Blinds and curtains block heat by blocking light — which means a darkened room. Window film blocks heat and UV without changing how much natural light comes in or how the room feels. You can have bright natural light and meaningful sun protection at the same time. Many customers keep their existing window treatments after filming and simply use them less.

Yes — this is one of the most common reasons our commercial clients call us. Film diffuses and reduces the intensity of incoming light, cutting glare spots on monitors and flat screens. Employees notice it immediately. For home offices, the same effect applies — especially on west-facing windows that get punishing afternoon sun.

Our Dual Reflective and One-Way Mirror films provide strong daytime privacy by reflecting exterior light. At night, when interior light is brighter than outside, the reflective effect reverses — this is how all reflective film works. For complete nighttime privacy, combining film with shades or blinds gives you full control over both conditions.

No — and in many cases the opposite is true. Our films selectively filter light, blocking UV and excess infrared while preserving the red and blue wavelengths that plants use for photosynthesis. Most indoor plants thrive under filmed glass.

Yes. Window film is compatible with Low-E glass and can complement its thermal performance. Most Low-E and dual-pane insulating glass units are manufactured to handle the additional thermal load associated with film. We'll assess your specific windows during the estimate.

The vast majority of insulating glass units are built to handle several times the pressure increase caused by window film. In the rare event of seal failure, we coordinate the replacement and re-tinting with a nominal manufacturer's warranty deductible ($25 residential, $100 commercial). In 15+ years of business in DFW, we've had exactly two seal-failure claims.

Installation

We arrive with film pre-cut for every window in your project. The glass is cleaned with a chemical- and odor-free mounting solution. We use only stainless steel scraper and cutting blades, which eliminates any risk of scratching the glass. Film is positioned, trimmed precisely, and squeegeed to bond it cleanly. We remove and replace any window treatments and move furniture as needed. You don't need to prepare anything before we arrive.

A typical whole-home residential install runs between 3 and 6 hours depending on the number and size of windows. We'll give you a time estimate when we schedule, and we show up when we say we will.

For residential and commercial applications, film is applied to the interior surface of the glass in virtually all cases. Interior application protects the film from weather, abrasion, and UV degradation — which is why interior-applied film carries a much longer warranty than exterior applications.

Yes, completely normal. Larger windows may show slight cloudiness and small water bubbles in the first week or two after installation. This is the bonding compound evaporating as the film cures. It resolves on its own, typically within two weeks. If anything concerns you beyond that window, call us.

Yes. For commercial projects, we schedule around your operation — early morning, after-hours, weekend, or phased installations for larger properties. Most of our commercial installs are completed with zero disruption to daily business.

Warranty

Residential: Non-transferable manufacturer's lifetime warranty covering both the film and the installation on every residential project.

Commercial: Manufacturer's warranty of up to 15 years, covering both film and installation.

In 15+ years of business, we've filed two warranty claims total. We stand behind the work.

A lifetime residential warranty and 15-year commercial warranty are among the strongest offered in the DFW market. Many competitors offer shorter terms or don't cover installation separately from the film itself. The warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it — a business that's been in the same market since 2010 with the same phone number is considerably more likely to be there when you need to make a claim.

Energy & Savings

It varies by property size, window exposure, existing glass type, and current utility costs. In a North Texas climate — where cooling dominates most of the year and windows are often the weakest link in the thermal envelope — blocking heat at the glass before it loads your HVAC translates directly into measurable savings. For most homes, the return on investment runs two to four years.

For most existing windows in good condition, quality window film delivers comparable energy performance improvements to window replacement at a fraction of the cost. Window replacement is a large capital expenditure with payback periods measured in decades. Film installs in a day, costs significantly less, and starts working immediately. The only scenario where replacement typically wins is when the window itself is failing — seal failures, structural damage, or frames in poor condition.

Possibly. The IRS allows certain energy-efficient commercial building improvements to qualify for deductions under EECBP and EEBRP provisions. Window film installed on a qualifying commercial property may be eligible depending on how it's categorized and the energy performance specifications of the film. We recommend speaking with your tax advisor — we can provide manufacturer specification sheets and installation documentation with the energy performance data they'd need.

Yes. Window film is recognized by the U.S. Government as an Energy Star-certified product. Several of the films we carry meet Energy Star performance requirements for solar heat gain coefficient and visible light transmittance.

Health & UV Protection

Yes — significantly. Our films block up to 99% of UV radiation, which is the primary driver of skin aging and a contributing factor in skin cancer risk. Most people don't realize UV exposure happens indoors, particularly near south- and west-facing windows where they spend extended time — home offices, living rooms, breakfast areas. Selected films we carry hold the Skin Cancer Foundation's Seal of Recommendation.

The Skin Cancer Foundation is a leading medical nonprofit dedicated to skin cancer prevention. Their Seal of Recommendation is awarded to sun protection products — including window films — that meet specific UV protection standards reviewed by the Foundation's Photobiology Committee. We carry films that have earned this seal. It's not something every window film company can say, and it matters particularly for customers with home offices, young children, or family members with sun sensitivity or skin cancer history.

Maintenance & Care

Wait approximately 30 days after installation before cleaning filmed windows — this allows the film to fully cure and bond. After that, use a non-ammonia glass cleaner and a soft cloth or rubber squeegee. Standard ammonia-based cleaners like Windex can damage film over time. We'll provide care instructions with every installation.

Quality architectural window film, properly installed and maintained, typically lasts 15 to 20+ years in residential and commercial applications. The primary factors affecting longevity are film quality, installation quality, and sun exposure. The warranty terms — lifetime residential, up to 15 years commercial — are a reliable indicator of the manufacturer's confidence in the product's longevity.

Why DFW Window Tinting

Franchise companies operate across multiple markets with rotating installation crews, centralized scheduling, and corporate oversight. What they can't offer is a business owner who has been installing film in DFW specifically since 2010, answers their own phone, and has a personal stake in every job they do.

When you call us, you reach someone who knows this market — which neighborhoods have older single-pane windows, which new construction areas have specific Low-E glass specs, which film performs best on west-facing glass in Frisco versus an older condo in Uptown. If something's ever not right, you're calling the same number you always have — not a 1-800 line to a corporate service desk.

Yes — and we welcome these relationships. We've worked on projects referred by architects specifying film for new construction, designers incorporating decorative film into interior projects, and general contractors handling commercial renovations. We're comfortable providing specification sheets, performance data, and installation documentation that professional partners need.

No — we focus exclusively on residential and commercial architectural window film. Our focus on home and business film is what lets us carry the strongest warranties and the deepest product knowledge in that specific area. If you need automotive tinting, we're happy to point you toward a reputable shop.
